April was pretty quiet, Maddie joined a campfire group and we started walking to prepare for a backpacking trip. To get in shape we headed to the trail around Town Lake within walking distance from our house and smack in the middle of downtown Austin!
So get a napkin, you might drool when you see our lovely new town!

Okay, enough gloating. We managed no to die on our first ever backpacking (as in carrying everything on your back) trip and it was lovely.

Maddie and Matthew decided they weren't up for the time commitment that swimming required. They wanted to do other sports as well and couldn't do that while swimming so...goodbye swimming...
